The victory was all the more valuable because it came against Woori Card, who hadn't won a game until the third round.
Lim Dong-hyuk was a monster on his own, scoring 28 points (73.3% offensive success rate). Jung Jeong-seok also chipped in with 12 points (52.4% offense), while Jeong Jung-yong (9 points), Kim Kyu-min (4 points), Cho Jae-young (2 points), and Han Seo-woo (1 point) also scored.
Korean Air head coach Tommy Tilikainen said after the match, "We served well and received well. The setter did a good job of putting the ball up for the attackers to hit. We showed our direction well, which made me think that we can still play strong volleyball even though we have lost some matches recently," he said after the victory. "One of the good things that happened today was that Ji-suk started for the first time, so I think that's really good. We still have a lot of matches left, so we will prepare better."
The top credit for the victory goes to Lim Dong-hyuk. He had a monster first set, scoring 14 points to lead Korean Air's offense. However, when asked how many points he would give him, Tilikainen said, "Minus 10 out of 10. A player should always be insatiable and hungry," he laughed.
"I don't always think about losing," said Lim, "but today, I think I was even more determined to win before I went in. I'm glad we won today, and if we continue to play with this mindset, I think we can reach a ranking worthy of Korean Air."
Lim finished with 28 points, eight of which came from behind the net, 바카라사이트 four from blocking and two from serving. One more serve point would have given him the triple crown. "When I served my last serve, I knew I had one more serve left because (Kwak) Seung-seok told me in the warm-up zone, but I didn't pay attention. I was trying to help my team a little bit more rather than being greedy for the Triple Crown," he said of his final serve.
"Today, I went in with the mindset that I was going to hit it," said Lim Dong-hyuk, who added, "Since yesterday's training, I've been signing for it to go up. Today, I think I really went into the mindset of 'I carry the ball,' as they say these days. I just wanted to make sure I won this match," he said about his mindset.
