Golfers opened their wallets again this year, but who?

As golfers start the year, they're all looking for success.

The desire for better scores leads to equipment upgrades. If you can improve your game and get aesthetic satisfaction at the same time, it's a 'rational consumption'.

Golf Zone Market, Korea's largest golf commerce company, recently released its latest ranking of drivers, woods, utilities, and irons sales (as of January 2024) in offline stores.

TaylorMade took the top spot in the men's driver category. The Qi10, which was unveiled in January, took the top spot with 24.2% of the market, ahead of the Ping G430 (18.1%), Callaway Paradigm (12,5%), Titleist TSR (8.3%) and Ping G425 Max (5.5%). Boasting a '10K MOI' (Moment of Inertia), the Qi10 is the most forgiving driver in TaylorMade driver history with the largest size, torque control shaft allowed in the Infinity Crown. Considering that it had an unboxing event on January 10th, it's a testament to its popularity that it went straight to the top of the charts upon release. The Qi10's success is matched by the success of Titleist's TS series, a longtime golfer favorite, and Ping, which has two drivers in the top five.

The G430 Series ranked second in the men's driver category, but topped the woods (20.9%) and utility (25.2%) categories.

The Qi10 series, the No. 1 driver, was No. 2 in woods (12.4%) and utility (13.1%) sales. This shows that the so-called "clustering" of drivers, woods, and utilities into the same model is still a valid trend among amateur golfers.

In the men's irons category, the Bridgestone V300 8-Series (29.2%) led the way over the Titleist TS3 (10.7%) and Mizuno MX-1 (7.1%). 바카라사이트 These three brands have dominated the men's irons market, but Bridgestone has widened the gap since the beginning of the year.

On the women's side, Jexio and Honma are leading the way.

The Jexio 12 series is the number one selling driver (19.1%) and wood (18.8%). The JEXIO13 Utility (22.3%), announced earlier this year, also topped the list. The Honma Kiwami 5 Series ranked second in this category, but the Jexio 12 Series topped the irons category (17.4%), ahead of the Jexio 12 Series (14.7%).

It's also noteworthy that two series are the only ones with double-digit sales in the Driver, Utility and Iron categories. This reflects the love for these two brands, longtime favorites for their forgiveness and distance. Other notable additions to the top five include the Qi10 women's driver and utility and the Jexio 13 series, which launched earlier this year.

This season, the golf equipment market is at a crossroads between growth and stagnation.

The cold wave that hit the golf apparel market last year is likely to spread beyond the golf course to equipment. Some brands are reportedly delaying the release of new products to wait and see what happens. Even in this atmosphere, it seems that the formula of "good products are loved by consumers" is still being followed.

This statistic only covers products released through January. There are still some products that have been released since then, so it will be interesting to see what the overall sales trend is for the rest of the year. It will be interesting to see what consumers will choose.
